Congratulations to Dr. Surendar Dwarakanathan!

The alumni association would like to extend a special congratulations and thank you to Dr. Dwarakanathan. At the 2009-2010 CCO lecture series Dr. Dwarakanathan received the prestigious Golden Apple award for being teacher of the year. This is the second time he has received this award in the past 3 years. Dr. Dwarakanathan is a 2007 CCH graduate and is currently on staff as Cornea/Anterior Segment faculty at Stroger Hospital and Oak Forest Hospital.

The First CCH Alumni Day in 2004 was such a success that it has become an annual tradition. We want to thank all alumni and former County attendings who take time from their busy schedules to make these alumni events possible. It is always nice to stay in touch with former graduates and learn of their continued success following completion of residency.

While alumni events are a nice opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new colleagues, we also strive to make them educational. Presentations of resident conducted research are accompanied by reknowned ophthalmology speakers from across the nation.
